How to measure for the correct fit
Fasten your dog’s current collar at their usual comfortable setting, then measure around the inside of the closed collar using a flexible tape measure.
If you don’t have one, use string or ribbon. Mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat and measure against a ruler. This is the measurement to use when choosing your new collar.
Leather Care Instructions
• Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• If wet, allow to dry naturally, away from radiators and direct sunlight.
• Apply a small amount of leather conditioner occasionally, testing on a hidden area first. Avoid soaking the padded lining.
• Wipe metal fittings dry after exposure to moisture.
• Avoid soaking, machine washing and harsh cleaning products.
• Store in a cool, dry place, and regularly check the leather, stitching and fittings for wear.
New Leather & Softening
Full-grain buffalo leather can feel firm when new. With regular wear, it gradually becomes more supple and moulds to your dog’s neck.
Allow the collar to settle in naturally before applying softening products. Avoid using saddle soap, leather softener or heavy conditioning treatments straight away. Too much treatment can over-soften the leather or affect its colour and finish.
There is no fixed conditioning schedule: once the collar has had some use, condition sparingly only if the leather feels dry. Always test a suitable product on a hidden area first. Do not soak, heat or forcefully bend the collar to soften it.
