A Strong New Look for the Staffy Show Ring

Blackthorn Celtic Heritage has a powerful yet traditional appearance. The deep black leather is finished with contrasting red stitching and black metalwork, creating a set that looks striking without appearing overstated.

The Stafford knots celebrate the breed’s heritage, while the Celtic buttons and bar conchos bring additional detail and character to the design.

Premium Full-Grain Leather

Full-grain leather is the finest and strongest grade of leather available. Its natural surface remains intact, helping preserve the strength, grain and individual character of the hide.

Instead of wearing out quickly, good-quality full-grain leather can develop a rich patina as it ages. Natural markings and subtle variations are part of its character, making every handcrafted set slightly different.

Why We Use Buffalo Leather

Buffalo leather is naturally strong, durable and distinctive. Its pronounced grain gives it more character than smooth, mass-produced leather, while its strength makes it an excellent choice for premium Staffy collars and leads.

Only handpicked leather is used for this limited-edition set.

Traditionally Vegetable-Tanned

Vegetable tanning uses traditional plant-based tanning agents rather than the harsh chromium tanning process. It produces strong, natural-feeling leather that develops character with use.

This slower, traditional method is well suited to high-quality collars and leads designed to be enjoyed for years.

Deeply Drum-Dyed

During drum dyeing, the leather is rotated inside a drum so the colour penetrates more deeply than a simple surface coating.

This creates a richer and more even colour while allowing the leather’s natural grain and texture to remain visible.

Built with Strength in Mind

The collar has a strong double-leather construction measuring approximately 8.5 mm thick. It is finished with a traditional roller buckle and a solid, non-joined D-ring.

The Stafford knots, Celtic buttons and bar conchos are made from solid brass rather than hollow metal. Each fitting has been given a deep black finish to complement the leather and red stitching.

Matching Leather Lead

The set includes a coordinating lead measuring approximately 42 inches from leather to leather. It features the same black leather, red stitching and black-finished detailing as the collar.

Together, the collar and lead create a complete, coordinated look for Staffordshire Bull Terrier shows and special occasions.

How to Check the Fit

Fasten your dog’s existing collar using the hole that provides the correct fit. Measure around the inside of the fastened collar.

If the measurement falls between approximately 16 and 18.5 inches, the Blackthorn Celtic Heritage collar should fit comfortably. Always measure before ordering rather than relying on breed alone.
