How to Check the Size
Fasten your dog’s current collar at the hole normally used. Keep the collar in a circle and measure all the way around the inside circumference.
An inner measurement between 14 and 16 inches should fall within this collar’s intended fitting range. Always check that the finished fit is secure and comfortable before use.
A Limited-Edition Artisan Show Set
This is not an ordinary collar and lead. Its three substantial leather layers, hand-selected materials, individually applied decorative details and solid brass fittings reflect the time and skill involved in traditional artisan leatherwork.
Created in limited numbers for Staffordshire Bull Terriers, this is a distinctive show set designed to look exceptional both inside and outside the ring.

Why We Use Vegetable-Tanned Leather
Vegetable tanning uses plant-derived tannins to transform hides into durable leather. It creates a naturally characterful finish that develops a richer patina with use. Initially firm, the leather gradually becomes more supple while retaining the structure needed for a quality show collar and lead.
Why the Leather Is Drum-Dyed
During drum dyeing, the leather rotates inside a large drum so the colour can penetrate more evenly through the hide rather than simply sitting on the surface. This produces a richer, more consistent finish and helps the leather retain its appearance as it naturally ages.
Why We Choose Full-Grain Leather
Full-grain is the highest grade of leather because its strong outer surface remains intact rather than being heavily sanded or corrected. It retains the hide’s natural grain, offering excellent strength, durability and character. With appropriate care, it should soften and develop an attractive patina over time.
Why We Use Buffalo Leather
Buffalo leather is valued for its strength, substantial feel and distinctive natural grain. Here, two layers of black full-grain buffalo leather support the softer tan suede top layer, creating an impressive 8.5 mm triple-layer construction with the structure required for this premium show set.
Genuine Soft Sheepskin Suede
The top layer is made from genuine sheepskin suede, selected for its soft texture and luxurious tan finish. It creates an elegant contrast against the black buffalo-leather underlayers and complements the mixture of polished gold and rose-gold fittings.
Exclusive Stafford Knot Fittings
The iconic Stafford knots are solid brass rather than lightweight or hollow decorations. Each fitting is specially produced for Advanced Animal Care’s Hench Wear collection and is not a mass-produced, off-the-shelf component. The design celebrates the Staffordshire Bull Terrier and gives the set its distinctive breed-specific identity.
Bespoke Celtic Button and Decorative Bars
The solid-brass Celtic button and coordinating decorative bars are also specially made for the Hench Wear collection. Their polished gold and rose-gold finishes are individually arranged by skilled artisans, giving the collar and lead a coordinated appearance that cannot be achieved with standard fittings.
Handcrafted by Professional Artisans
Each set is assembled and stitched by experienced leather artisans using carefully handpicked hides. The suede, buffalo leather, stitching and solid-brass details are brought together by hand, so minor natural variations are part of the set’s genuine leather character.
Limited-Edition Craftsmanship
This is not a factory-standard collar with decorative pieces added afterwards. The triple-layer construction, specially commissioned fittings and coordinated matching lead were developed as one complete Hench Wear design. Made in limited numbers, it offers a level of craftsmanship and exclusivity appropriate for a premium £200+ show set.
